John T. Henley, Jr., M.D
Dr. Henley is a native of Fayetteville and
co-founder of Fayetteville Otolaryngology. He earned his medical degree
from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in Chapel Hill in
1972. He joined the Army in 1973, after a surgical internship, and served
with the 9th Medical Dispensary in Aschaffenburg, West Germany, where he
was Commander from 1974-76.
His otolaryngology residency followed at
North Carolina Memorial Hospital-UNC School of Medicine. He joined Dr.
Glenn Hair of Fayetteville Otolaryngology in 1980.
Dr. Henley is board certified with the
American Board of Otolaryngology. He is an active member of the following
organizations, among others:
- American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy
- American Board of Otolaryngology
- American Academy of Otolaryngology
- American Medical Association
- NC Society of Otolaryngology HNS
- NC Medical Society
- Cumberland County Medical Association
He has staff privileges at Cape
Fear Valley Medical Center, Highsmith-Rainey Hospital and Fayetteville Ambulatory Surgery Center.
He has been chosen by his peers as the
Medical Director of Fayetteville Ambulatory Surgery Center. He is also a
member of the Board of Trustees of the Cape Fear Valley Health System.
Dr. Henley's surgical specialties include:
- otology
- pediatric otolaryngology
- nasal and sinus
- allergy, as related to ENT disease
He is married and has two children. His
interests include politics, sports, golf and reading.
